Hard-to-Spot Mini-Spider Species Discovered in China
Researchers have discovered two species of arachnids near panda sanctuaries in China. Despite their big bellies, the orb-weaving spiders are tiny: One species is about one millimeter long—that’s roughly one-thirtieth of an inch—and the other is even smaller. Scientists say the spiders, which dwell in leaf piles and caves, are likely only found in China.
